A good first class University degree in any Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related discipline. Minimum of 10 years of post qualification experience in a commercial or business development role. Must have solid understanding of asset and market price dynamics. Strong computer based analytical/modeling skills. Knowledge and familiarity with basic industry economics analysis tools (PEEP, Exploration Workbench, Monte Carlo analysis) and be motivated to maintain expertise in economic analysis as new tools and methods are development and deployed. Should have experience in hands-on economic analysis experience utilizing decision analysis and economic modeling tools and techniques. Demonstrated ability to rapidly frame and develop complex economic and decision models. Broad exposure to a variety of exploration play types and be able to assess key drivers of economic performance (cost, volumes and schedule) and economic sensitivities to each, and be able to condense key uncertainties in a thoughtful and transparent manner for management decisions processes / analysis and systems. Familiarity with the fundamentals of exploration economics, including all success case and risked exploration metrics and bench marks for decision making.
